STEM CELL THERAPY
Stem cells are undifferentiated cells that can become any specialized cell in the body allowing for accelerated restoration and healing. These cells release growth factors that naturally seek out damaged areas, become that type of local cell, and then promote the growth of new, healthy cells.
What is Stem Cell Therapy?
Stem Cell Therapy is a refined, surgery-free treatment that helps your body restore itself by administering stem cells into the body either locally or intravenously that then travel to the area of disease, injury or inflammation. This process uses a minimally invasive surgical technique, conducted right in our clinic. When you think Regenerative Medicine, names like Kobe Bryant, Chris Johnson, Alex Rodriguez, and Chauncey Billups should all come to mind. These four athletes (among many others) have used cell therapy to make unlikely recoveries from severe sports-related injuries.
The Stem Cell
Stem cells are the basic structural and functional units of all living organisms. They are referred to as the body’s master cells and live inside all of us in various tissues and repair damage as it occurs within our bodies. Through the process of self-renewal, stem cells can make a variety of other kinds of cells depending on your body’s needs. As the body ages, it’s not able to generate enough stem cells to fully repair damaged areas quickly. With the use of stem cells extracted from an area of high volume (like adult bone marrow or umbilical tissue), RenewMe is able to concentrate the cells and inject them into damaged areas of the body to naturally speed up the healing process.
Stem cells typically serve five beneficial functions:
- Acting as raw material for rebuilding damaged tissue (by transforming into other cells)
- Promoting angiogenesis (creation of new blood vessels)
- Releasing growth factors to enhance healing
- Replicating themselves to multiply their effects
- Communicating with the body to attract additional cells to the damaged site
How does it work?
We use embryonic stem cells that are sourced from young, healthy donor mothers using cutting edge technology. These cells come from the amniotic membrane, umbilical cord blood, and/or umbilical cord tissue. Our donors undergo an extensive screening process to ensure the safety and purity of the stem cells in our treatments.
At RenewMe, we offer localized stem cell therapy, where stems cells are injected directly into a target area, such as a joint to relieve pain or damage. Another option in the systemic intravenous infusion of stem cells, where we inject approximately 7.5 Billion cells directly into your bloodstream. These stem cells then travel throughout your body and seek out damaged organs and tissues for widespread repair and regeneration.
